107 years ago, Arizona's founders feared that the state legislature could land in the pockets of special interests. They protected us with a state constitution that granted citizens the power of referendum, recall and initiative. In April, the Arizona legislature passed two bills (HB2244 and HB2404) designed to block our access to that power. The Voters of Arizona, a non-partisan political committee, challenged that power grab, and six brave plaintiffs sued the state to protect Arizona's constitution.

Join the fight.

This is part of what Arizona is supposed to be about, what we always have been about. The people serve as a check on the government and in particular, the Legislature. It’s pretty clear to me that this Legislature is doing what it can to try to take that power away from the public so we not going to let them get by with it.
